

I contacted SimpliSafe once again and the person I spoke with was thoroughly confused. I had to submit a dispute with my credit card company. I do not want to pay for something no longer in my possession. By this time, payment is due for this item. She informed me it would be 2-3 business days. I called 2/16/23 and the rep tracked the package and confirmed she would submit a request for a refund. Two weeks passed and I did not receive any correspondence regarding receipt of the package or refund information. Figured the new outdoor cameras would be a good alternative. Couldn't see a $400 troubleshooter to resolve what shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. $100 door bell that would not work when I had to put in a new doorbell and transformer. Also had a problem with the camera doorbell, that was never resolved: Compatibility issues, I guess. Usually, I don't have a problem dealing with the company, but now Simplisafe has become too big. If that doesn't work, then they'll replace the camera. Not sure the 13' cable will be long enough. This will be a problem because of a lack of sun on the front porch. Then I was told to try the solar panel with it: An $80 accessory. All of them can't be bad! They work in the other camera just fine. I contacted them about the replacement camera, and was told that my battery might be the cause.

The other original camera, sitting not five feet from the other one, still maintains its charge as advertised. The replacement camera they sent me drains the battery within 24-30 hours, so I have to have a spare charged up and ready always.
